An Aledo home suffers extensive damage following a Tuesday night fire. The blaze broke out in a garage and spread to the house in the northwest part of town near Vashti Village. It was likely caused by an electric heater, according to Aledo Fire Chief Tony Myers. Two cars were also destroyed. Myers says occupants inside the home were sleeping, but were able to escape the fire without injury and two dogs got out of the burning garage. Firefighters were on the scene from just after 10 p.m. through 2 a.m.
