Former Mercer County Booster Club Treasurer & Unit 404 Bookkeeper Waives Arraignment; Pleads Not Guilty To Theft Charges

A former Mercer County School District bookkeeper and former treasurer for the Mercer County Athletic Boosters has pleaded not guilty to theft charges.  43 year old Angie Dellitt of Aledo waived her formal arraignment this morning in Mercer County Circuit Court.  A pre-trial conference is now set for November 5th. Her arraignment was originally scheduled for tomorrow, but was moved up a day.  Dellitt faces two Class 2 felony counts filed last month–one involving the Mercer County Athletic Boosters and the other involving the Mercer County School District. The count involving the school district alleges unauthorized control of between $500 and $10,000 with the booster club count alleging between $10,000 and $100,000. The counts allege she used the funds for personal use, such as hotel rooms, restaurants, meals and other personal items. Dellitt remains free on $30,000 bond. She is no longer employed by the school district and no longer associated with the booster club.
