Gary W. Coulter, 84 of New Boston, IL, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Brookstone of Aledo. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, December 11, at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo where memorials may be left to the New Boston-Eliza Fire Protection District. Gary was born August 29, 1939, in Aledo, IL, to Vern and Helen Shotwell Coulter. Gary married Mary C. Lingle on April 22, 1960, in Aledo. He worked as a farmer all his life. Gary enjoyed watching westerns and antique tractor pulls.
He is survived by two daughters: Tonnie (Tom) Dahl of San Diego, CA, and Lisa (John) Dunham of New Boston; one son: Kevin (Joy) Coulter of Joy, IL; nine grandchildren: Shannon Clay, Mackenzie (Kenny) Foster, Taegan (Logan) Sell, Laken Dahl, Alexandra (Kyle) Kesinger, Madison Coulter, Kylee (David) Busch, Jacob (Amanda) Dunham, and Marco (Melissa) Dunham; ten great grandchildren; and a very special friend: Wanda Crawford.
Gary was preceded in death by wife: Mary; his parents; one granddaughter: Bailey; and one brother: Curt Coulter.
