Mercer County’s boys and girls cross country team competed Wednesday against Lincoln Trail opponents. Ridgewood won the boys meet by virtue of the sixth man score as they and the Golden Eagles had 31 points. Mid-County had 61. Mercer County’s Derek Coulter was the individual winner. On the girls side the Golden Eagles won handily scoring 32 points, Ridgewood had 48, Annawan-Wethersfield, 54 and Mid-County, 98. The Spartan’s Kennedy Anderson was the individual winner.
In boys golf, United defeated Mercer County 175-181 at Hawthorn Ridge. The Red Storm’s Drew Brown and Parker Cassidy were the co-medalists with 40’s. In girls golf, Mercer County defeated Alleman 195 to 224 at Hawthorn Ridge. The Golden Eagles Emma Saltzman was the medalist with a 45.
