A Joy man flown to University Hospitals in Iowa City following a weekend accident in Mercer County. The crash occurred Saturday on 110th Street near Joy. A Mercer County Sheriff’s Department report indicates 49 year old Mark Eggen’s vehicle exited the roadway and overturned. He was initially transported to Genesis Medical Center in Aledo and later airlifted to University Hospitals where he is in stable condition.
