Former Mercer County Board Member Ted Pappas participating in a meeting of concerned citizens this week opposed to the latest budget plan by the Mercer County Board. The fiscal year 2018 budget calls for raising the county tax rate from $1.45 to $1.52 per $100 assessed valuation. The former Finance Committee Chairman says that’s too much.
The meeting is Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at the Big Red Barn in New Windsor—located 1116 330th Street.
