With the school year starting, the Regional Office Of Education is going to partner with local school districts in Mercer, Warren, Henderson and Knox counties to host job fairs for bus drivers, paraprofessionals, aides and substitute teachers says Assistant Regional Superintendent Lori Loving.
Loving said she feels many people don’t think they are qualified for these positions.
The first job fair will be September 13th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Silas Willard Elementary School in Galesburg and the second will be September 20th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Lincoln Early Childhood School in Monmouth.
There are over 20 bus driver positions, 30 paraprofessional/teacher aide positions, and an unlimited number of substitute teachers needed in the 9 school districts in the four county region.
