A Matherville woman accused of violating her probation in a meth case has been released on a recognizance bond. The move made today in Mercer County Circuit Court concerning 27 year Erica Sandusky. She is due back in court on October 2nd. Sandusky was taken into custody last week by Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputies. Mercer County State’s Attorney Meeghan Lee says she was granted the recog bond in advance of a Henry County court appearance next week, where she is facing an aggravated battery charge to a person over 60.
In Mercer County, her probation was modified last November after a separate probation violation. Sandusky pleaded guilty to a Class 2 felony meth charge in September of 2017 and was placed on 24-months’ probation and was ordered to complete a substance abuse evaluation and any recommended treatment. She was originally arrested in a 2015 meth bust. An arrest warrant has also been issued for the co-defendant in the case—24 year old Charles Peacock of Milan—also stemming from a probation violation. He is believed to be in Florida.
